Cooking: Combine rice and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and let it cook until the water is absorbed.
Resting: Let the rice sit, covered, for a few minutes to finish steaming.

DHALL CURRY HOW TO MAKE
Ingredients:
1 cup split red lentils (dhall)
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
2 cups water
2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
Rinse the split red lentils thoroughly and set aside.
In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, sauté for a minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Add the rinsed split red lentils to the pan and stir to coat them with the spices.
Pour in water and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until lentils are cooked and the curry thickens.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve the dhall curry with rice or flatbread.
